Missouri EMS for Children Performance Measures

Performance Measure 1:

The degree to which EMS agencies submit NEMSIS version 3.x compliant data to the State EMS Office for submission to NEMSIS Technical Assistance Center (TAC).



Performance Measure 2:

The percentage of EMS agencies in the state/territory that have a designated individual who coordinates pediatric emergency care (PECC).

Performance Measure 3:
The percentage of EMS agencies in the state/territory that have a process that requires EMS providers to physically demonstrate the correct use of pediatric-specific equipment.

Performance Measure 4:

The percent of hospitals recognized through a statewide or regional standardized system that are able to stabilize and/or manage pediatric medical emergencies.

Performance Measure 5:

The percent of hospitals recognized through a statewide or regional standardized system that are able to stabilize and or manage pediatric traumatic emergencies. 



Performance Measure 6:

The percentage of hospitals in Missouri that have written inter-facility transfer guidelines that cover pediatric patients and include specific components of transfer.

 

Performance Measure 7:

The percentage of hospitals in Missouri that have written inter-facility transfer agreements that cover pediatric patients and include specific components of transfer.

Performance Measure 8 & 9:

The degree to which Missouri has established permanence of EMSC in the State EMS system and degree of integration into statutes/regulations.
